Prepare the move before the purchase
A useful transport discussion starts with the machine, its components and the destination.
Build a transport inventory
Record the machine and every loose component proposed for shipment. Request transport dimensions and weights in the agreed shipping configuration, together with any dismantling and loading requirements. Do not estimate a complete shipment from nominal lifting capacity alone.
Share destination requirements
Provide the destination country, preferred port and onward delivery location. Discuss the route with the transport provider and confirm local import and receiving requirements with your appointed local specialists before booking.
Compare the quotation scope
Ask which loading, inland transport, port, freight, insurance and destination items are included or excluded. Record quotation validity and the assumptions behind the schedule. Availability and sailing dates should be reconfirmed when booking.
